Fogleberries & Minikins
I have a passion for wool. Wool sweaters, wool socks, wool blankets, wool dolls. Wool appeals to me in a big way!
In February 2010, I made my first needle-felted gnome doll. She was just a small one, standing 7" tall to the tip of her very pointy hat, but that was the beginning. Needle-felting has become my favorite hobby --- particularly felting dolls. Felted dolls are also referred to as "Wool Sculptures". I have made over 25 of them! My sister, Elizabeth, and I also make miniature wool felt dolls which we call "Minikins". Their bodies are made on a wire frame, covered in cotton thread. Their clothes are all hand designed and stitched out of wool/rayon felt, and their heads are needle felted. I make the bodies and the heads, while Elizabeth does all of the sewing. The slideshow at right shows photos of some of our various dolls. If you'd like to see all of the Felted Dolls, just click on the Photo Gallery link above. We sell Minikins as custom orders from our website, and you can visit that gallery via the button above, as well. SarahBethOnline.com is our website. It is full of dolls, classic movies, our sweet kitties and much more. Please look around, and we'd love to hear from you! |
